Artist Gerald Griffin has been creating breathtaking works of art for over 15 years. Mr. Griffin's artistic endeavors began as a young child, drawing cartoon images. He grew as an artist in his high school years winning a scholarship to the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Upon completion of his studies Mr. Griffin began competing in national art shows. He won many 1st place awards including The Best of Show at the National Black Creativity Juried Art Competition.

In addition, Mr. Griffin began exhibiting at several prominent museums and galleries in the Chicago area. Among them, The Dusable Museum of African American History, The Museum of Science and Industry, the John H. Vanderpoel Museum, Nicole Gallery and Filli Gallery.

Six years ago, Mr. Griffin opened his own gallery now located in the famed River North gallery district in Chicago. Mr. Griffin's talent has blossomed into what would become the most distinctive social realism style today.

His work is collected nation wide and he has attracted the attention of many high profile collectors such as, The former President and first lady Bill and Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Marc Watts.
